SMOK has introduced a new atomizer designed specifically for cloud chasing. TFV16 Mesh Tank is large; I would even say a huge self-powered tank with a volume of 9 ml!!! Also, three new TFV16 mesh coils evaporators were specially developed for it, designed to operate at enormous power and capable of producing huge clouds of steam and excellent flavor transfer.

General information and design

“The dimensions of the atomizer are really huge. The connector fit is 27 mm, a little higher there is an extension to 28 mm, and the diameter of the bubble glass is as much as 32 mm. With such dimensions, the choice of box mod should be appropriate, and given the power for which the atomizer is designed, all mods for 1 battery are instantly eliminated.

At the moment, six color options are available and all of them are made in the usual SMOK palette. In my opinion, such a quantity is an ideal option, neither more nor less, and most importantly, there is plenty to choose from.

I would like to highlight the colorful resin drip tips with a diameter of 16 mm. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to place your drip tip here, because there is a special mount for it.

Otherwise, the design of the device is not very far from the usual design of the TFV series tanks, and this is not bad, because this style satisfies the needs of a huge number of people.

In fact, the equipment is very good; I would even say that it is close to ideal. The most important attribute will be a protective silicone drain for bubble glass, since the tank is huge and if it falls, it will be with a crash, and the glass will have little chance of surviving. The only drawback of the configuration is the lack of a replaceable 0.15 ohm evaporator, and even then, this is a subjective drawback.

Without changing traditions, we will go from top to bottom.

I’ve already told you everything about the drip tip above, so I don’t see any point in dwelling on it. Below it is a new tank lid opening system for the TFV series. The lid now moves in a slightly different way, but the principle remains almost the same. The tank lid is opened and closed using a push button under the drip tip. This system will allow you to refuel not only from a bucket, but even from a fire hose. The shaft is completely protected from liquid ingress during refilling, as are the edges of the atomizer, since the refill hole is very recessed into the body.

By default, regular glass is installed in the tank, probably for safer transportation, but it can be easily replaced with bubble glass, which increases the volume from 6 to 9 ml. Most importantly, do not neglect the use of a protective drain.

In total, there are 3 evaporators for the atomizer of the new line TFV16 Mesh coils; other evaporators from SMOK will not fit here, as far as I understand, since I did not find any other information on this matter. All evaporators are made on a mesh and now I will briefly tell you the difference between them.

SMOK also promised that they have introduced some kind of innovative system, due to which the evaporators will stop leaking. I still haven’t been able to figure out how it works, so I can only hope and trust them.

Next we have blowing. In general, absolutely nothing unusual, two inlet holes, adjustable with a knurled ring.

And finally, here is the connector. 510 connector with gold plated contact. Again, nothing special.

Conclusions and impressions

“The TFV16 Mesh Tank is a huge, autonomous and very productive atomizer with huge potential. The most important thing about this atomizer, in my opinion, is the variety of replaceable evaporators. We should try them all and decide for ourselves what exactly you want from this tank, taste, clouds or something in between. But don’t forget that you can always alternate these parameters. The atomizer will definitely be a hit, because it has absolutely no flaws.
