Review of Rincoe Jellybox 228W
In today’s review, we will look at an unusual and extremely cute kit called Jellybox 228W Kit, consisting of a transparent battery block and the same transparent atomizer.

The devices arrived to me in a box made of thick cardboard, which was dressed in a white sleeve with an image of the entire kit (black) on the front side, on a separate round sticker you can see the name of the version you purchased (I got Full Clear, i.e. completely transparent). e-cigarettes online boutique in new zealand On the sides there are links to the manufacturer’s social media accounts, certificates and assurances that the box is made entirely of recycled cardboard, on the back there is a list of the kit, warnings, Rincoe company details and even a check for originality (you can check the code under the scratch-off strip on a special page of the manufacturer’s website). In my case, the packaging also had a Sample|For Test Only sticker, though for some reason on top of the cellophane. There is nothing inside that indicates that the device is any different from the release version, so it is unlikely that what you bought will be different from what I got.

The contents turned out to be quite banal and boring, but you don’t often expect any surprises from a standard kit of a mod with a sub-ohm tank on evaporators. In addition to a spare replacement, the box also contained a rather short (only 30 cm, and weak, more on that below) USB Type-C cable for charging.
And, of course, the kit includes an impressive pile of waste paper, among which the most useful will be the instructions. True, for both the tank and the mod, exclusively in the great and mighty English language.
A distinctive feature of both devices in the kit is the abundance of transparent elements, as the name itself eloquently says – Jelly. And if with the atomizer this is not surprising, we have seen and entirely made of plastic, then in the case of a box mod such a solution is quite rare. As a rule, manufacturers leave only transparent windows and side panels, but they try to leave the case itself metal to maintain rigidity. Here, only the battery compartment cover and the front panel, which goes to the top of the case, where the connector is installed, are made of metal, and the strength of the structure is achieved by the impressive thickness of the case walls.
The mod and tank are available in three versions, the only differences being in the color of the plastic: yellow a la ULTEM, darkened “black” and completely transparent, as in this review. The flasks of the complete tanks are also made in the same color as the mods, so the overall style is consistent.
Colors of the Jellybox 228W RDA from Rincoe
The kit comes with a complete tank, which has the simple name JellyTank, we will consider it in more detail below, and here I want to mention that there is also a kit with a dripper – Jellybox 228W RDA Kit. However, judging by social networks and even the online store of Rincoe themselves, the atomizer has not even received its own name. Most likely, it may end up being some “original” JellyRDA or something similar. It is curious that the mod is not sold separately by the manufacturer, but on other Chinese sites it can still be bought without the “load” in the form of an atomizer.

I will try not to dwell on the complete tank for too long, but some key features are worth mentioning, because not everything in the device is wonderful and cloudless. Although it can not be called completely useless.
The most noticeable thing in JellyTank, of course, is the transparent flask, through which not only the filling level is clearly visible, but even the marking of the installed evaporator. And also the fact that the holes in the replaceable are located slightly above the bottom of the tank, i.e. it will be difficult to evaporate the contents to the end: the winding will start to starve when there is still some liquid left in the tank.
The drip tip of the tank is non-replaceable, i.e. the wide mouthpiece is part of the flask, and it will not be possible to put something else instead of (or inside) it. Yes, in principle, this is not required at all, the existing solution copes with its task perfectly: condensate and all unnecessary things flow into the center of the metal funnel (and from there into the evaporator), the walls practically do not heat up even during active vaping, and accidentally hitting your teeth with it is not particularly scary, after all, it is plastic. At the bottom of the tank you can find engravings Designed by Rincoe and JELLYTANK, as well as two standard pictograms. The positive pin is gold-plated and protrudes above the thread by half a millimeter, but this height can easily change, since it depends only on the installed evaporator, and therefore it is better to use the tank exclusively on safe connectors.
Airflow adjustment in JellyTank Airflow adjustment in JellyTank
The airflow adjustment ring is high and has a fine but very tenacious knurling across the entire width (in my opinion, excessive), air is taken in through two adjustable long and narrow holes. The system has stoppers in the extreme positions, the ring itself does not get knocked off by touching, the rotation is smooth and the system rotates with moderate resistance even when condensation gets in.
Impressions and conclusions
Traditionally, it is worth starting with the tank. Although it looks like a downright ballast, in fact it can offer the user a good appearance, excellent flavor transfer, huge clouds (the evaporators are great, without any reservations) and an impressive volume of 4.8 ml. It also has disadvantages, I listed them all above, I will not repeat myself. About the mod, we can say that its strongest side is its unusual and attractive appearance, few people today produce devices with transparent (and even more so completely!) cases. At the same time, if you do not need a dual-battery, Rincoe can also offer a single-battery JellyBox Mini, which works from 21700 cans. Also, the advantages of the device include good assembly and a neat external (and internal) appearance, which is slightly spoiled only by clanking and ringing buttons, perfectionists should better pass by. The LED backlight is nothing more than a whim, but the guys from Rincoe simply couldn’t resist putting it in such a case, and I’ll forgive them for this weakness, because sometimes the photos are pretty good. High charging current and Type-C are great! The cheap bundled cable is a bit of a shame. The lack of normal battery indication (I’d like numbers, not charge “bars”), as well as the fact that banks A and B are not labeled, clearly makes it clear that we have a familiar board in front of us, which was in the Rincoe Manto MAX. In general, the electronic part still has a lot to improve and improve. But, of course, you can simply close your eyes to many things when the issue of appearance arises, which catches your eye almost immediately.
