Review of Ocular-C 150W Box Mod by Joyetech

In a new review on the PerePAR channel, we will explain one of the most unusual and failed products of the vape industry giant Joyetech — the Ocular C box mod.

At some point, Joyetch decided that a box mod should not only provide energy for steam generation, but also please users with musical and graphic accompaniment, monitor its activity, and generally be more modern and youthful. This is probably how the Joyetech Ocular C box mods and its younger brother without a prefix on the end with a built-in battery were born. Both models look like the well-known Cuboid, only with a touch screen and other brains, if you can call it that. If you remember, cases of its breakdown were quite frequent, so one of the test subjects broke during the tests, but we managed to get acquainted with all the functions.

Packaging and equipment

The device comes in a box made of thick white cardboard with an image of the box mod on the front surface. On the back side there is a package, a protective layer with a code for checking the originality and information about the manufacturer. new zealand vape shop auckland On the sides there is the name of the device, the company logo and a link to the official website. Inside the box we are greeted by the device itself, located in a foam mold, under which are the user manual in several languages, including Russian, a warranty card, a card with warnings and a Micro USB cable for charging and firmware updates.

The Ocular C by Joyetech is a typical example of how not to make a box mod. An attempt to combine several unrelated functions in the device led to the fact that none of them work as they should. The result is an incomplete box mod and an incomplete player. More details in the review, enjoy watching.

Functionality

After turning on by pressing the “Fire” button five times, I advise you to first familiarize yourself with the menu, which can be accessed by swiping your finger across the screen from top to bottom. You can scroll through the menu pages in the same way. The screen responds well, and the rather large icons make it easy to use. Above the menu, there is a clock, a battery charge indicator, and a device lock icon. Next, we will consider the operating modes of the box mod and all the main menu items in order.

The box mod supports a large number of possible operating modes. You can choose from variable wattage, temperature control on nickel, stainless steel, titanium, three profiles with independently configured temperature resistance coefficients. In order to switch between them, you need to swipe your finger sideways across the screen in the central area. Power and temperature adjustment is standardly done by pressing the “+” or “-” buttons, a little lower in the center is a button showing information about the number of puffs. At the bottom of the screen is information about the vaping time, resistance, current strength and voltage.
