Today we will talk about one of the smallest battery mods on the market, which at the same time has quite adult functionality — iKarno X-mini TC Box.

Not everyone is chasing huge clouds and multi-battery mods capable of pumping up eight-coil atomizers. Many atomizer manufacturers have finally remembered about vapers who prefer a tight draw, rather than a wild rush. Well, for such tanks you need a corresponding battery unit, the smaller, the better. Today we will consider one of the suitable miniature boxes — iKarno X-mini TC 50W, from a Chinese company that produces boards for one of the giants of the vape industry Innokin.

The box mod comes to the buyer in a thick black cardboard box with the name of the device on the lid and a warning that somewhere inside the device there is nasty and terribly harmful nicotine. The box resembles a small canister with its decorative recesses and protrusions; this is the first association that comes to mind. The body consists of two parts – silver and painted in color, in my case – white. The coating of the colored part is rough to the touch, similar to powder coating, does not slip in the hands. Despite the composite design, everything is assembled very well, there are no cracks or creaks, the box mod feels monolithic. The name of the mod and the name of the manufacturer are applied in silver paint on the side walls, the screen from the box is sealed with a protective film.

In total, we are offered five variants of iKarno X-mini to choose from: white, green, burgundy, blue and black. Only one half is painted in these colors, the other, on which the connector and control panel are located, is silver.

Despite its modest dimensions, the weight of the baby is quite immodest – about 160g, due to the zinc alloy used for the body. On the top there are four Allen screws: two on the body, two on the steel connector. The positive pin is brass, spring-loaded, has a good power reserve. The atoms sit on the body without a gap, but after two weeks of use, there were no scratches on the body.

Impressions and conclusions

Although for some reason the manufacturer writes about supporting resistance only starting from 0.2 Ohm, the board works quite well with 0.1 Ohm. To be honest, there is nothing to criticize the iKarno for: the assembly is excellent, the paint does not raise any questions, the electronics work reliably, the Fire response is fast. The only drawback I would call the lying battery charge indicator: it shows a little less than half, and a minute later it says that it is already discharged. The best scenario for using this baby is for stealth vaping, i.e. with miniature tanks, like the same Berserker MTL RTA in a mini version, some atomizers are even higher than this battery block. The box mod can easily compete for the title of one of the smallest battery units with a screen and full control, however, the MilSpec Mini Box Mod reviewed earlier is even smaller and uses replaceable batteries of the affordable 18350 format.
