It’s clear that in the manufacturer’s wet dreams everyone has long since and unconditionally switched to 20700 and 21700, but the reality is different. In general, here we have a great set, it’s enough to buy liquid, fill the tank and you can feel the delights of owning a new “vape” without leaving the store.

Naturally, our setup most closely resembles the Pico mentioned at the beginning of the article, or even more one of its variations — AL85 from another manufacturer. But if the first two had a more modest power, then their dimensions were also much smaller. It is hard to call the CAPO 100 “small”. Yes, it is still not tall, quite compact, but much closer to dual-battery box mods, or at least to the Pico Mega.

The Captain Mini atomizer is a smaller version of its “big brother” Captain Tank, 25mm and 4ml. Moreover, not only the dimensions and volume have changed, but also the replaceable evaporators; our version requires different heads. The “full-fledged” version uses CA2, CA3, and CA8; in our case, we need CA-M1 and CA-M2, redesigned versions of the same threadless replaceable heads. In addition to the unique color scheme, the tank from the kit that fell into my hands can also boast some interesting design features. The groove between the tank capacity and the base looks quite unusual, designed to reduce heating during operation.

Fingerprints on the iJoy CAPO 100If there is nothing special to say about the Captain Mini Tank atomizer (everything has already been stated above, the verdict is another “replacement” for the countless TFV, but why was it necessary to invent a smaller version and not put a full-fledged Captain Subohm Tank here, I still do not understand), but the box is much more interesting. As in the case of Captain PD270, the iJoy CAPO is designed to advertise a new battery from the manufacturer itself, and now we have already been presented with 21700. But, in my opinion, it did not turn out very well. A single-battery mod with the operating time of a dual-battery one. A loud statement, but not quite true. I would say that this is almost true. The box can actually withstand almost a whole day of my cigarette tank vaping mode, when with others you have to change the battery, or even two. But its dimensions are still quite large for a single-battery device, with a thickness of 30 mm, you could squeeze in a 26650 if you wanted. Sometimes you think about putting the good old “pico” in your pocket and throwing another spare 18650 can in your bag, or taking this rather large device, but without a spare battery. And, yes, not every charger will fit 20700 and 21700, and we did not get an adapter for the good old format. In terms of output power, it also turned out that not everything is smooth. Perhaps, with some ideal resistance, CAPO is capable of pulling out the promised 100 watts, but I did not succeed. The device has a glossy metal frame, which quickly becomes covered with fingerprints, due to the design features, they are almost invisible at first. But only up to a certain limit, then you will still have to wipe the smudged case. iJoy Combo RDA (25mm) on iJoy CAPO 100 The pluses include a good assembly (if you close your eyes to the rattling of the control buttons), a bright screen, simple controls, instant Fire response, landing of atomizers up to ∅26mm (I do not have a dripper of this diameter at hand, but in the photo you can see that ∅25mm is already on the edge). A modern solution can also be considered support for resistance from 0.05 Ohm. The happy owner of previously purchased 20700 will be able to use them here without problems. In general, the need to bring another battery form factor to the market is debatable. It seems that manufacturers throw out waves of first one, and then the second format only in order to then sell new versions of the same mods. 21700 cans will no longer fit into devices for 20700, they simply will not fit there. And now you can “re-saw” long-ready devices, simply expanding the battery compartments. Does the buyer need it? Only if for the sake of increased capacity, only it justifies the “new new format”.
